LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY
What Does This Warranty Cover?
Vulcan Line Tools (“VLT”) warrants that your new VLT product purchased directly from VLT, or an authorized reseller or distributor, will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for the Limited Warranty Period below.
What Does this Warranty Not Cover?
This warranty does not cover the following: (1) defects in materials and workmanship resulting from improper installation, misuse, operation, or maintenance, physical abuse, power failures or surges, lightning, fire, flood, or accident; (2) normal wear and tear; or (3) pre-owned, refurbished, demo or sample, or “as is” products, or products not purchased directly from VLT or an authorized reseller or distributor.
ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES WHICH YOU MAY HAVE UNDER APPLICABLE LAW ARE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE LIMITED WARRANTY PERIOD. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you. EXCEPT AS OTHERWISE PROVIDED IN THIS WARRANTY AND TO THE EXTENT PERMISSIBLE BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL VLT BE LIABLE FOR SPECIAL, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM THE SALE OF THE PRODUCT. THE TOTAL LIABILITY OF VLT IN ANY AND ALL CATEGORIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, MISTAKE, NEGLIGENCE, ACT, OMISSION, AND BREACH, SHALL NOT EXCEED IN THE AGGREGATE THE PURCHASE PRICE PAID BY YOU FOR SUCH PRODUCT. This disclaimer and exclusion shall apply even if any warranty fails of its essential purpose. Some states do not allow for the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
How Long Does the Coverage Last?
This warranty is for the lifetime of the original purchaser but terminates if you sell or otherwise transfer your product. This warranty is non-transferable, and any sale, transfer, or disposal of the product will void this warranty, and this warranty extends only to the original purchaser. The “original purchaser” is an individual or company who purchases the product directly from VLT or an authorized reseller or distributor and not with the intent to resell. Any repair or replacement will not extend the original period of limited warranty, nor will it constitute the beginning of a new limited warranty period.
How do you get Service?
To obtain service under this warranty, you must promptly notify VLT by completing the form below to obtain further instructions prior to returning or exchanging the warranted product. You may be asked to undertake certain steps by VLT to troubleshoot or determine whether this warranty applies. Any warranted product returned or exchanged must be accompanied by the original purchase receipt as proof of purchase.
What Will VLT do?
For any warranted product that is returned to VLT in accordance with this warranty, VLT will repair or replace the warranted product, or any part thereof, in its sole discretion. You will be responsible for return shipping to VLT of any product. You will not be charged for shipping from VLT within the contiguous 48 United States for a repaired or replaced product; provided, shipping costs outside the contiguous 48 states for any repaired or replaced product will be your responsibility. However, if the product is found to not be defective or otherwise not covered by this warranty, in VLT’s sole discretion, the product can, at your option, be returned to you at your shipping cost or disposed of by VLT without compensation to you, provided if you do not respond within thirty (30) days to any request by VLT regarding your instructions as to the disposition of the product, VLT may dispose of the product without compensation to you. VLT will not be liable for any loss or damage incurred during shipping of the product.
How Does State Law Apply?
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
