Red Yellow Green

Know before you go. We collect fresh 360° imagery, use the imagery to take pole measurements, and tell you which poles you can attach to and which ones you can’t.

Hundreds of miles, thousands of poles weekly.

What is Red Yellow Green?

Know which poles you can attach to and which ones are going to be a pain, in days not months.

Red

Power make ready: Based on NESC clearance rules, poles and mid-spans are labeled red when their current state in the field would require power attachments to be moved in order to attach new fiber.

Yellow

Comm. make ready: Based on NESC rules, poles and midspans would require moving existing comm. wires to make room for a new attachment.

Green

No make ready: Based on NESC rules, the existing poles have enough room to attach to.

The Red Yellow Green Process

  • Driving a vehicle with a 360° camera, we map entire cities in days. Nationwide coverage. Quick mobilization.

  • Once collected, the imagery is processed and uploaded to Azmyth. 25,000 pictures uploaded per hour (~142 miles of imagery).

  • Using the fresh imagery, our team shoots pole locations, attachment heights, and midspan measurements in Azmyth. We apply NESC rules to determine if a pole is RED (power make ready), YELLOW (comm. make ready), or GREEN (no make ready). Don’t worry, the rules we use are customizable.

  • We send you a detailed report with pole locations, measurements, make ready status, and more. Customizable file formats (KML, GeoJSON, Shapefile, etc.).
